Maya has been practicing as a Certified Massage Therapist (#33585) and an Ayurvedic bodyworker and wellness educator in California since 2012. Maya began her bodywork career as an apprentice in an Ayurvedic Wellness clinic in Sacramento, CA (2012-2016), working under the guidance of an experienced Ayurvedic Practitioner and therapeutic bodyworker. In 2016, Maya relocated to Marin County and began offering her integrated bodywork services through her private practice.

Maya utilizes her specialized training in Ayurveda’s nature-based principles and bodywork techniques to stimulate lymphatic and blood flow, regulate the nervous system, and enhance overall functioning of the physiology. Along side this Ayurvedic wisdom, Maya uses traditional Hawaiian Lomilomi massage techniques to work deeply and precisely, yet gently, with the muscles, bones, joints, lymphatic and connective tissues to release chronic tension and break up stagnation stored deep in the body. Both Ayurvedic and Hawaiian Lomilomi bodywork techniques aim to restore the body to its’ natural vibratory frequency, thereby awakening its self-healing potential.

Maya lives in Bolinas with her husband, niece and three beloved kitties. She is thrilled to be joining this wellness collective to be able to better serve her West Marin community!
